On behalf of our client in the Paint manufacturing Industry we are seeking a competent and experienced Project/Institutions Sales Executive to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

Reports To: The Project Sales Manager

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Job Summary: The Project/Institutions Sales Executive shall be responsible for driving sales and business development with institutional clients, such as government agencies, NGOs, large organizations, and ongoing projects. The Project/Institutions Sales Executive shall also focus on understanding institutional procurement processes, developing long-term relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs while achieving sales targets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with institutions, government projects, NGOs, and corporate clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target institutions.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and tenders for institutional contracts and projects.
  • Understand institutional procurement procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, finance, production, and marketing) to ensure timely delivery of products/services.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets specific to institutional clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential projects and emerging institutional needs.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, project updates, and client feedback.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and networking events to expand institutional contacts and market presence.
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3-7 years post qualification experience as a Sales Executive, preferably in the Institutional and project sales segment.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in institutional, project-based, or B2B sales.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement processes, and institutional sales cycles.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits, project follow-ups, and networking events.

  • Limited or lack of knowledge about sales processes within the manufacturing industry.
