Role Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teachers for Math and English to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the minds of our students as you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, assessing student performance, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Location: Bweya
- Reporting Structure: Reports to Head Teacher
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
2. Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
3. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in subjects such as English and Mathematics.
4. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
5. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
6. Assign lessons and correct homework.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Post-secondary Diploma in Education or related fields.
- 5-7 years of teaching experience.
- Required skills include Learning Strategies, Instructing, Speaking, Active Learning, and Coordination.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, candidates with additional skills and knowledge in education and training, mathematics, and psychology will be highly regarded. Attributes such as being detail-oriented, analytical, communicative, and a problem-solving focus, along with a patient and creative personality, are desirable.
