JOB DETAILS:

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main contact for all communications within the RD cluster, proactively creating narratives, campaigns, and multimedia content that align with project priorities and stakeholder interests.
• Lead the development, execution, and ongoing improvement of a comprehensive communications strategy for the RD focus area, ensuring it follows guidelines from the Country Office (CO), HQ, and commissioning party.
• Establish the RD focus area as a prominent, credible, and influential entity in Uganda’s development sector, enhancing brand recognition and public awareness.
• Manage strategic media relations to build and maintain connections with key local and national media outlets, ensuring consistent and positive coverage of RD programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication, journalism, or a related field.
• Five years of professional experience in communication, including media and PR work, journalism, internal communication, lobbying, or a similar field.
