Primary function:

In charge of oilfield instrumentation and control system maintenance and management.

Resolve instrumentation and control system issues and advise on instrumentation system management.

Responsibilities:  

  • Participate in and execute new oil-field instrument and control system commissioning and start-up.
  • Collect and follow up on instrumentation and control system issues left out by the Engineering Team.
  • Master the instrumentation system, control system, ESD, and Fire & Gas system principles, including positioning and performance
  • Master and operate the Emergency Shutdown logical and reset method
  • Cooperate and liaise with the Production Team to maintain efficient production
  • Conduct Emergency response as per Emergency Response Plan
  • Execute instructions from the maintenance supervisor
  • Raise and handle instrumentation and control system faults and report
  • Cooperate with other departments as and when necessary
  • Order instrument spares and ensure sufficient spares stock
  • Lead the instrumentation team to carry out normal routine jobs
  • Lead instrumentation issues, troubleshooting, and resolution
  • Prepare instrumentation work plan, summary, and oversee execution
  • Cooperate with supervisor to control instrumentation budget
  • Lead instrument preventive maintenance and ensure proper implementation
  • Responsible for coordination and supervision of instrumentation contractor onsite
  • Conduct onsite instrumentation national staff training
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical engineering, Automation, or related major.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Oil&Gas production instrument maintenance, including 4 years as lead Instrument technician

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of instruments and automation
  • Experience with instrument and automation maintenance
  • Extensive experience in oil production management

Familiar with international oil industry practice
