Primary function:

In charge of oilfield mechanical maintenance work.

Resolve mechanical issues and provide advice on mechanical issues.

Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in and execute new oilfield mechanical commissioning and start-ups.
  • Collect and follow up on mechanical-related issues left out by the Engineering Team.
  • Prepare Emergency response as per Emergency Response Plan.
  • Execute instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Raise and handle mechanical fault reports.
  • Cooperate with other departments if and when necessary.
  • Order mechanical spares and ensure sufficient spares stock.
  • Lead the mechanical team to carry out routine maintenance jobs properly.
  • Lead mechanical issues troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Prepare mechanical work plans and ensure proper execution.
  • Cooperate with the Maintenance Supervisor to control the Mechanical Budget.
  • Lead and carry out mechanical equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and respond to mechanical related contractor issues onsite.
  • Conduct onsite mechanical-related national staff training.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas production. Including 4 years' oilfield onsite experience and at least 2 years' lead Mechanic.

Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance
  • Extensive experience in oil production management
  • Familiar with international oil industry practice
