Background
Saracen is hiring a Financial Planning & Cash Management Officer responsible for budgeting, planning and modeling the financial needs of the business while cash management officers are responsible for the steady flow of money into and out of the company for its various objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing sound financial plans to ensure company meets its goals
- Advising company on current financial issues and making recommendations
- Reviewing the company’s financial statements to find any potential risks or opportunities for growth
- Analyzing and reporting on company financial documents like expenses, liabilities, income
- Maintaining records and monitoring cash flow to ensure that there are enough funds available to pay financial obligations on time
- Preparing reports on cash inflows and making adjustments as needed to ensure that there is enough cash to meet the company’s needs
- Reviewing accounts payable invoices and checks to ensure that all payments are made correctly
- Preparing reports on loan repayments and other financial transactions for external parties such as banks or investors
- Opening new bank accounts and arranging for electronic deposits from clients’ accounts
- Coordinating with external vendors such as banks or insurance companies to arrange for payment of invoices
- Working with data management department to keep track of records and file updates
- Act as first contact liaison to other finance professionals
- Must be able to make sound financial decisions on a daily basis including which invoices should be paid immediately versus waiting until next payday
- Checking, Preparing digital payments
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 yrs relevant practical experience in Finance and Accounting.
- In-depth understanding of IFRS.
- Use of an Accounting system will be an added advantage.
- Work experience at least 2 years in a similar role will be an added advantage.
Preferred Education Requirements
- BBA, BCom Finance or Accounting and a minimum of Second stage (CPA OR ACCA).

- In good mental, physical, and psychological health
