Overall Purpose:
To manage all costs related to the project, from initial calculations to the final figures, ensuring value for money while meeting legal and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Perform cost planning, budgeting, and cost control.
- Measure and value work in progress for interim payments.
- Evaluate variations, change orders, and claims.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare final accounts and cost reports.
- Advise on procurement and contractual matters.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or similar.
- 8-12 years of experience in major civil/oil & gas projects.
- Membership in RICS, CIQS, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Proficient in QS software (e.g., CostX, WinQS) and MS Excel.
