Overall Purpose:

To test and control the quality of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt) to ensure they meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field and laboratory tests on materials (e.g., soil compaction, concrete slump, asphalt cores).
• Prepare samples and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Record test results and prepare quality control reports.
• Monitor batching plant operations for concrete/asphalt.
• Assist in the investigation of non-conforming materials.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Material Science.
• 3-5 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory.
• Certification in relevant testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
