To support the implementation and monitoring of UEDCL’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) programs and initiatives. The role offers hands-on exposure to sustainability reporting, corporate social responsibility (CSR), governance practices, and occupational health and safety (OHS) in a regulated utility environment.

Impact
The Graduate Trainee will contribute to sustainability goals, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement by assisting in the collection of data, coordination of activities, and preparation of reports that support the ESG strategy.

Key Result Areas
• Assist in tracking environmental metrics such as energy use, emissions, and waste.
• Help document progress of initiatives aimed at reducing the company’s environmental impact.
• Participate in organizing community outreach, inclusion and employee engagement programs.
• Gather feedback and prepare summary reports for CSR project activities.
• Help compile data for ESG and sustainability reports.
• Support the documentation of governance-related activities and training programs.
• Support the coordination of safety trainings, drills and safety audits.
• Maintain and update safety logs and reports.
• Conduct research on emerging ESG trends and regulatory updates.
• Assist in preparing presentations and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain organized files and databases for ESG-related documentation.
• Draft minutes, status updates, and action plans for ESG-related meetings and initiatives.

• Records of stakeholder and CSR activities

• Preliminary ESG reports and research summaries
• Organized filing of ESG and OHS documentation
• Prepared presentations, meeting notes, and communication materials

Person Specifications
Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Development, Public Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field from a recognized institution
• Must have graduated within the last three (3) years
• Additional training or certifications in ESG, OHS, or environmental regulations is an added advantage
Experience
• No formal work experience required

Competencies
• Basic understanding of sustainability, OHS, and social impact frameworks
• Good data collection and reporting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative
• High level of integrity and ethical responsibility
