Main Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Coordination:
Develop and update short-term plans and look-ahead plans for OTU work in line with the overall project schedule.
Coordinate daily and weekly work fronts with site supervisors, disciplinary leads, and subcontractors to optimize resource allocation and the sequencing of activities.
Work Monitoring:
- Track and monitor the daily progress of OTU activities.
- Monitor the status of critical equipment, long-lead items, and materials required for the OTU.
- Ensure the tracking of engineering deliverables, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
Technical Support and Interfaces:
- Assist site teams in resolving technical queries and clarifying construction details.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely handovers.
Pre-commissioning and Readiness:
- Monitor pre-commissioning activities, punch list completion, and preparation for OTU commissions.
- Verify the conformity of auxiliary systems before handover.
Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as a communication bridge between SNOPEC and the project team.
- Translate and clarify technical requirements, documentation, and meeting outcomes to ensure mutual understanding.
- Prepare concise daily reports on progress, issues, and required actions.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, decisions, and follow-up actions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent in related discipline with experience in pre commissioning within Oil & Gas
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil and gas projects, with extensive multi-discipline precommissioning and Oil Gas construction experience
- Good knowledge of the Company’s General Specifications and/or previous experience with other major Contractors in oil and gas construction projects.
- The local candidate shall be fully conversant with the applicable Oil and Gas Industry International Codes, Standards as well as best Industry Practices.
- A good awareness of other disciplines. Significant responsibility in multi-discipline teams or projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
