ActionAid International Uganda is hiring a Project Coordinator to provide leadership and oversight in the implementation of the project on Ending harmful practices and promoting adolescent girls’ rights in Karamoja specifically in Nakapiripirit and Amudat districts. He/she will be responsible for managing and overseeing project activities implementation, compiling quality project narrative reports in compliance with AAIU and donor standards. The coordinator will build and nurture networks to analyze women’s rights trends and ensure their integration into programming. Support advocacy, public engagements and effectively document project success stories and share them.

Reports to: National Projects Coordinator with Matrix reporting to Field Programme Coordinator
Key Result Areas
-
- Coordinate project planning, implementation and reporting processes.
- Coordinate monitoring, evaluation and learning under the Ending harmful practices and promoting adolescent girls’ rights in Karamoja project in line with the M&E frameworks and guidelines.
- Coordinate project budget tracking and management.
- Coordinate fundraising and resource mobilization for program/project continuity.
- Coordinate partnerships and donor/stakeholder relationships under the Ending harmful practices and promoting adolescent girls’ rights in Karamoja project.
- Supervise and build the capacity of project staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent and above) in the relevant field of humanities, development studies, human rights, economics, social sciences or related areas.
Professional Work experience:
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in the field of women’s rights programming and or SRHR.
- At least 3 years demonstrated experience in programme implementation in relation to women’s rights work in an NGO setting; planning and strategy development for advocacy engagements; Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience with International Non-Governmental Organizations in similar positions.
- Ability to work efficiently and deliver committed outputs under the assignment within agreed timelines and deadlines.
Skills and Competencies:
Proven conceptual and analytical skills, Effective planning and organizing ability, Capacity to follow up and coordinate independently with minimal supervision, Proven ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and multicultural team environment, Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills, Proven capacity to build and maintain effective partnerships inside and outside the organization, Ability to work under pressure.
