Background

On behalf of our client TOTALENERGIES, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Technical Assistant to work on site.
Responsibilities
Management, Leadership and Commitment
- Regular HSE meetings: workshops preparation and facilitation
- Follow-up of regular HSE meeting action plans progress
- HSE communication, campaign, WDFS - Preparation, implementation, follow-up
Risk Management
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment - Preparation, facilitation, attendance, review
- PPE specification, order, follow-up
- SIMOPS/COMOPS dossier execution follow-up
Competencies and Training
- HSE training coordination, completion follow-up (incl. Lizzy access, Safepass completion follow-up, assistance to organise group training)
Emergency Preparedness
- Major drills preparation and participation
Learning from Events
- Incident recording in Synergi, and Synergi case follow-up, ensure Synergi database governance by performing QC of the cases entered, following up and sending reminders to entities for case / action not closed
- Incident action plan follow-up
- REX preparation and diffusion, communication (incl. learnings from events, communication of initiatives, contribution to Safety+)
Monitoring, Audit and Inspection
- Follow-up of audit corrective action implementation
- Observations and Recognition supplies and distribution
Performance Improvement
- Follow-up and reporting of KPIs (Incident, Observations, Life Saving Checks trend analysis)
Qualifications/Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications/Experience required:
- Qualification: Engineering Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Professional Experience (years): 2 (Safety & Risk engineering)
- Knowledge of Company standards and/or previous experience with other major IOC’s in large oil and gas construction projects.
- Experience in similar position: effective oil and gas construction experience on site and HSE Management (including Engineering, Construction, HSE, quality control, Engineering, Commissioning) on equivalent Project
- Technical Competence or awareness, knowledge:
- Safety in construction / installation – operational safety
- HSE management principles and HSE management systems
- Knowledge of International standards / norms
- Able to work as part of a team and able to liaise with various stakeholders from different entities, companies and cultures.
- Good communications skills – the ability to communicate effectively both in the written and spoken word
